What do you hate? Do you hate the sun-bleached sound or do you hate the idea of Hypnagogic pop?
DB: I am really, really into sounds of the UK and I'm really into the
darkness and the moodiness of it that no one else can do. It's in
Jungle, it's in Hardcore, it's in so many different types of music. It's
in music like Shadow Ring, it's in This Heat, it's a very, very
specific sound and I don't find this sound appealing because it's not
me. Just like I don't find American comedy funny. It's the same thing,
it's a sentiment that doesn't really work for me.
